As a record year for Weiss Technik UK comes to a close, we’re pleased to announce the arrival of two new hires at Weiss Technik UK: Steve Harris and Roxanne Gale. Their unique expertise and diverse career journeys will bring fresh perspectives and incredible value to our business, positioning us for even greater success as we look ahead to an exciting future of growth and innovation.
Meet Steve Harris – A Seasoned Sales Veteran
On 1 November, Steve stepped into the role of Business Development Manager for North UK, bringing over 30 years of sales experience, including 18 years in scientific and industrial sales. His extensive career has honed his ability to understand and meet the needs of complex industries.
Steve’s life journey has been shaped by his Armed Services background, which instilled adaptability and resilience—skills that have been essential throughout his career. Having lived at 34 addresses in 56 years, he’s no stranger to embracing change and building strong connections wherever life takes him.
Most recently, Steve worked with a fluid-based temperature control company, where he supported many of the same customers we serve today. With clients spanning Northern England, Scotland and Ireland, his familiarity with our customer base and market makes him an exceptional fit for the role.
Steve’s strategic mindset and wealth of experience will undoubtedly strengthen our relationships and drive continued growth in the region.
Introducing Roxanne Gale – From Dance Champion to Environmental Specialist
Roxanne brings a more unconventional path to her new role at Weiss Technik UK. Before stepping into the world of environmental test chambers, Roxanne achieved international acclaim as a professional dancer, earning British, European and World Champion titles in Line Dancing and American Couples Dancing, as well as world titles in Waltz, Cha Cha, Two Step and East & West Coast Swing.
A move to London in her 20s to pursue a dance career was met with challenges, including three knee surgeries that led her to reimagine her future. This transition sparked a period of exploration, taking her across Switzerland, Australia and over 15 countries as she gained diverse life and work experience.
Roxanne’s passion for sustainability emerged during this time, prompting her to pursue qualifications in Environmental Science and Environmental Management. For the past decade, she has thrived in a start-up specialising in automated environmental monitoring solutions, where she wore many hats: from operations and quality assurance to sales and account management in industries such as food, healthcare and pharmaceutical storage and distribution.
Roxanne came to find her favourite ‘hat’ to wear was building meaningful client relationships and delivering tailored solutions. Now, she is ready to bring her energy, creativity and customer-focused approach to Weiss Technik UK as she embarks upon this exciting new chapter.
We’re delighted to have Steve and Roxanne as part of the Weiss Technik UK team. Their combined expertise and fresh perspectives will undoubtedly help us deliver even greater service to our customers.
