Weiss Technik UK Managing Director, Malcolm Youll, today announced a new initiative in support of plant research departments and science technical personnel based in UK universities.
“Weiss Technik is the market leader in supporting plant science research in the UK. We have a long-standing commitment to continuous development of our Fitotron range of plant growth chambers to ensure our customers can achieve the results they need.
I am delighted to launch this new scheme. It’s a fantastic opportunity to acquire a brand new Fitotron SGC123 plant growth chamber on a free loan and fully serviced for one full year. Not only will the chamber be delivered for free, we will commission it and even tailor the specification of the chamber, so it matches the establishment’s research needs precisely.
The SGC123 is a state-of-the-art plant growth chamber with a number of outstanding features:
- An integrated webcam for remote monitoring via smartphone or PC
- The unique “Webseason” Bio interface and “SIMPATI” software provides easy networking and multi-user control
- The chambers feature a maximum growth height of 133cm
- The user can specify highly efficient fluorescent or LED lighting, or we can tailor make an LED combination to meet the user’s specification
- The SGC123 is available with one, two or three door options
Applicants for the scheme will need to complete an application form telling us why your research would benefit by having a Fitotron plant growth chamber available.
The successful applicant will then be required to send us regular reports or a white paper on how the chamber is being utilised and the results you are achieving”.
