Dust Test, Type DustEvent ST

Weiss Technik offer a range of Dust Test Chambers for the automotive industry, including a suite of testing rigs for lithium ion battery abuse testing, which are found in electric vehicles.

Our Dust Chambers are environmental simulation chambers that allow test materials to be exposed to dust for a defined period of time. The dust is distributed homogenously within the climatic chamber so dust protection and dust-tightness of materials can be tested, ensuring they meet with the ‘settling dust’ test standards.

With the Dust Test Chambers produced by Weiss Technik and vötschtechnik®, you can carry out reliability tests in accordance with DIN EN 60529 (VDE 0470-1) IP5X and IP6X. Our standard chambers are available in sizes of approximately 1,000L and 2,000L. In addition to this, we also offer customised sizes upon request so you can meet specific test requirements.

Optional equipment is also available so further standards can be complied with, including:

·        ISO 20653

·        SAE J 575

·        MIL STD 810

·        EN 60068-2-68

Please note the dust test chamber can only meet the applicable section of the standard.
