As we tie up the first quarter of 2025, it’s safe to say the Weiss Technik UK team has hit the ground running this year. From expanding our sales team even further to partnering with an inspiring new charity, and preparing for a fantastic line-up of industry events (including our highly anticipated Open Day), there’s a lot to look forward to.
Our commitment to innovation, customer service and corporate social responsibility continues to drive us forward, and I’m delighted to share some of our latest updates with you.
Expanding Our Sales and Service Teams – Again!
As the leading Solutions Provider of Environmental Test Chambers, Industrial Ovens, and Dryrooms, meeting the growing demand across the UK remains a priority for Weiss Technik UK, which is why we’re continuing to expand our sales team to provide even greater geographic coverage and personalised support.
Following the addition of Roxanne Gale and Steve Harris at the end of 2024, we kicked off 2025 by welcoming another experienced Business Development Manager to the team: Paul Burroughs. Paul is responsible for the South of the UK, is well experienced, enabling us to better serve our customers across multiple sectors. The Sales Team is now at full strength, and will further enhance the tailored support we offer to businesses across the UK, ensuring our clients receive the best possible solutions for their environmental testing needs.
As our sales grow, so does the demand for our Service and Aftermarket Support. I would also like to welcome Gavin Forest to the Weiss Technik UK Service Team. Aftermarket support is crucial to our customers’ success, and we boast the largest direct service team in the industry within the UK. This is a real investment and ensures we can provide optimum services when our customers require them.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Matthew Ellaway, who has been with us for nearly two years as a Technical Support Apprentice Engineer, who won the Technology Apprentice of the Year Award at Loughborough College’s Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony. Seeing his talent and commitment acknowledged in this way is a proud moment for both myself and the entire team, and we look forward to supporting his continued growth at Weiss Technik UK.
Supporting Rainbows Children’s Hospice
At Weiss Technik UK, we believe in giving back to the community, and each year we select a new charity to support based on causes close to the hearts of our team. This year, I’m proud to share that we’ve partnered with Rainbows, an incredible charity based in the East Midlands that provides specialist care to over 750 babies, children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Some of our team recently visited the hospice and were truly moved by the incredible care, support and facilities available to these children and their families. Inspired by their work, we’ve planned a series of fundraising events throughout the year to support this worthy cause.
The first of these will be the East Leake Sprint Triathlon, where our very own Emilie Roche-Miller, Richard Cotterill and Louise Loach will take on the challenge. Later in the year, even more of our team will be stepping out of their comfort zones (quite literally) by taking part in a charity skydive and ‘It’s a Knockout’.

Upcoming Events & Open Day
2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for industry events, and we’ve already had a great start with the Midlands Aerospace Alliance’s annual conference at the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with key aerospace players, including Collins Aerospace, ITP Aero, Parker Meggitt and Rolls-Royce.
Looking ahead to Q2, we’ll be attending the UBMA Conference and Bionow Pharma, allowing us to engage with professionals from even more industries where our environmental simulation technology makes a difference.
One of the key highlights in our calendar is our exclusive Open Day, which will take place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry on 29 April. This event will offer a deep dive into the latest advancements in thermal processes and heat treatment, showcasing how our innovations can help businesses save both time and energy.
Attendees will get the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of our cutting-edge equipment, including the new and improved VFT 60/90 Vötschoven industrial oven, which has been designed for maximum efficiency and reliability. Leading these discussions will be Martin Gertler and Stefan Betz, two of Weiss Technik Germany’s heat technology experts, who will be on hand to answer any questions and provide in-depth technical guidance.
In addition to learning about the latest developments in our technology, attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to tour the MTC. To see the full agenda and register your attendance, please click here and complete the registration form. I look forward to seeing you there!
With an expanding sales and service team, an inspiring charity partnership and a packed schedule of industry events, 2025 is already proving to be a busy year for Weiss Technik UK and I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Whether you’re joining us at an event, supporting our charity efforts or looking for tailored solutions for your business, I look forward to working with you and making this year a success together.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our entire team for their hard work and dedication. Whether it’s supporting customers, driving innovation, or taking on new challenges, it’s their commitment that makes Weiss Technik UK such a fantastic company to be a part of.
