In May 2021, we announced the merger of Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH and Vötsch Industrietechnik GmbH.
Both the previous companies Weiss Umwelttechnik and Vötsch Industrietechnik have been amongst the most important manufacturers of equipment for environmental simulation. From May 2021, both will carry the name Weiss Technik, which was newly formed from the previous company names. The contact persons and the product and service offerings will also remain the same.
The test chambers from weisstechnik simulate the environment, so the test specimens are exposed to desert heat and polar cold, high humidity or extreme dryness. This helps manufacturers to make their products safer, more robust and more durable.
Weiss Umwelttechnik had already taken over Vötsch Industrietechnik from the technology group Heraeus in 1995. Both parts of the company initially remained operationally independent and operated under their own names. But over the years they grew closer and closer together. Since January 2016, the service teams of both locations have been operating under the joint name "Weiss Umwelttechnik". This merger was also successful. Now the time has come to formally complete the merger with a new, common name.
The name Weiss Technik makes it easier for customers to identify the company's product areas, which previously had different names. Especially in international markets, it will be easier to present the company with the same name in the future. Internal reporting is also easier to carry out without having to distinguish between two parts of the company.
Heating technology equipment will also be represented in future by Weiss Technik GmbH, Heating Technology Product Division. These products were previously available from Vötsch Industrietechnik. The vötschoven brand name will continue to exist after the takeover. The range of heating technology products offered by Weiss Technik extends from heating and drying ovens to industrial ovens, vacuum dryers or infrared and continuous ovens. Here, too, the contact persons as well as the product and service offerings remain the same at a proven high standard.
